On the Beach

Living in Malta equals to at least four months of beach & sea activities. Swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing, as well as family picnics and relaxed quality time with our loved ones are all part of our summer months. There’s a mix of extraordinary places to visit and enjoy, from sandy beaches to rocky bays, with turquoise waters or challenging heights to dive from.

 

There’s also a generous variety of sites, from Malta’s northern part with Mellie?a Bay, G?ajn Tuffie?a, Paradise Bay, Riviera and Golden Bay, all the way to the paradise setting of Comino’s Blue Lagoon and Santa Marija Bay and our sister island’s Hondoq ir- Rummien and Ramla il- Hamra. There are also more secluded, sandy or rocky places on our islands that are magnificent to visit, especially by boat rides; these include Gozo’s San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot, as well as Zurrieq Valley, Ghar Lapsi Beach and St Peter’s Pool in the south of Malta.

 

Sea activities linked to our beautiful waters, such as diving, boat trips, yachting and sea sports are an attractive addition to our tourism consumption. Activities such as these add value to the island experience we can provide as a country. It is thus of prime importance we take care of these amazing places in order for us to benefit directly and indirectly from them, be it by ways of leisure or economically. The property market enjoys a healthy growth thanks to the lifestyle we have to offer, so it’s essential to preserve the resources which feed our economic diversity.

 

The vision set by Quicklets and Zanzi Homes (QLZH), encompasses such a caring attitude towards nature and special places around the Maltese islands. Some of their team events show that they truly want their customers and the rest of the community living in Malta to the fullest. A case in point is QLZH’s beach clean-up on March the 13th at Riviera as part of their voluntary campaign. Steve Mercieca, co-owner and CEO, outlined the company’s drive to give back to society: “We’re here to add value to the real estate industry. We need to realise that places of leisure on our islands should be litter-free, to everyone’s benefit; starting from locals and residents to tourists. We want to change the culture of spoiling our islands with waste; our company’s motto is ‘leave no trace’, meaning that wherever you go, you should not leave litter behind, nor vandalise. This has a special tie to our industry, as when we are selling property, we are also marketing our country, telling people why they should invest here”.
